Patrick Reiman is a research technician at the University of Pittsburgh Department of Ophthalmology. He received his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Neuroscience from the University of Montana in 2024. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted Two-Electrode Voltage Clamp (TEVC) electrophysiology on Xenopus oocytes to study the SLC6A1 gene and the role its mutations play in the disruption of normal brain function under Dr. Michael Kavanaugh. He currently works in the Rosin Lab and on the ARPA-H THEA project, conducting electroretinography (ERG), visual evoked potentials (VEPs), and assisting in surgery for rodents and swine.
